Day One: Sgt George Smith's report

Mission Objectives

Gain access to Bridgewater Camp, investigate potentially damaging actions of Rev. Timothy Young: suspected terrorist.
Make contact with current camp leader: Elizabeth Hayes, approach on behalf of SDTF and gauge levels of potential cooperation.

Report

Preliminary intel gathered by Operatives Matt Sawyer, Emma Jones and Prof. Nancy Johnson facilitated and uneventful journey to Bridgewater Camp. Access was unopposed: the camp has no current security (see ‘Recommendations’). Met with Elizabeth Hayes and established she has a high level of control over the camp: her leadership is unquestioned and followed keenly by her followers. Established that two Home Guard members were missing – investigation found they were not in camp and could have left the camp to pursue a rescue mission.
Met with Rev Young, established that his supporters have access to weaponry above that of normal dissenters (see ‘Recommendations.’) Established that Rev Young is a terrorist and guilty of treason: he believes God speaks directly to him and is adamant that the aliens can be reasoned with. Mobilised one of his supporters to see reason, Rev Young should be resolved shortly. Will confirm in next report.

Secondary mission : Four people from Bridgewater went over the wall to forage for food – young adults. They have been missing two days, have launched a search and rescue mission. Will confirm results in next report.

Recommendations

Send SDTF liaison offer and Home Guard support to report to Elizabeth Hayes, work with Ms Hayes in identifying needs of Bridegwater. Identify possible recruits to SDTF missions outside the wall: inhabitants of Bridgewater have knowledge of area north of the wall.
Send investigation team to locate weapons and ammunition of previous resistance in Bridgewater – be aware that an ex-Para is among the reformed resistance, may be of use to SDTF.
